Coming Soon: 2020 Toyota 4Runner
August 25 2019 - christenet@miller-nicholson.com

For decades shoppers have turned to the Toyota 4Runner when searching for a rugged and capable midsize SUV. The 2020 model year brings a slew of updates for the 4Runner that further solidifies its appeal. Today we'll explore some of the new features and equipment. Starting inside the cabin, there's a new 8.0-in. infotainment screen that has compatibility with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. This level of connectivity makes it easier to manage tasks and stay focused on the road. The 4Runner can be had in five-passenger and seven-passenger configurations and has a large greenhouse for excellent visibility. An automatic transmission comes standard and luxury features such as leather seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, and dual zone automatic climate control are available. Also available is an auto-dimming rearview mirror and Toyota's Smart Key System, which includes push button start and remote illuminated entry. The 4Runner comes standard with rear-wheel drive with an automatic limited-slip differential with part-time 4WD or full-time 4WD available depending on trim. Power comes from a 4.0-Liter V6 DOHC 24-valve engine that features dual independent variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and produces 270 hp and 278 lb.-ft. of torque. This brawny engines provides smooth and linear power delivery that's suited on-road and off-road driving conditions. On the safety front, Toyota has you covered with standard Toyota Safety Sense-P, which is a suite of advanced safety features like Pre-Collision System (PCS) with vehicle and pedestrian detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Automatic High Beams (AHB).

An 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen is a big step up from the previous 6.1-inch unit, and it now enables Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The redesigned instrument cluster now has a 4.2-inch screen between the dials. Rear passengers can keep devices charged with two USB ports. The Toyota Safety Sense-P suite brings a pre-collision system, lane departure warning, automatic high-beams, and adaptive cruise control.
