Top Features of the 2018 Toyota C-HR
September 15 2017 - toyotaofseattle
Having only started production in November 2016, Toyota’s C-HR subcompact crossover is a stylish and innovative SUV that meets the demand of modern car shoppers seeking flexible functionality and class. With a distinctive exterior and extensive list of interior features, the C-HR is designed for performance and precision.
What Does C-HR Stand For?
While some sources prefer one name over the other, Toyota’s official news release for the C-HR announced that the SUV’s moniker was derived from both Compact High Rider and Cross Hatch Run-About. The C-HR is Toyota’s second vehicle to be developed with the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, a company-wide initiative to improve vehicular efficiency from the ground up. TNGA makes it possible for all buyers to enjoy racing-grade performance features and responsive driving.Standard Toyota Safety Sense
The 2018 C-HR comes standard with Toyota’s innovative suite of safety features, the Standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P). Advanced radar, braking and lighting systems help keep drivers safe and in their lane, reducing the possibility of unwanted drift or collision. The C-HR also comes equipped with two newer safety features:- Driver Distraction Secure Audio (DDSA) prevents certain menus or programs from being used on the C-HR’s seven-inch touchscreen display while the vehicle is in motion. This technology complies with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Driver Distraction Guidelines and helps keeps drivers’ eyes on the road.
- The Brake Hold feature can be turned on or off at the push of a button. When in use, the C-HR will maintain braking force even if the driver reduces pressure on the brake pedal. The vehicle will only move forward once you press down on the accelerator.
Comfort and Versatility
With a diamond-inspired interior, the C-HR looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside. A number of features have also been made standard to maximize driver comfort. A leather-trimmed steering wheel and satin-plated shift knob give the C-HR cabin an air of sportiness and sophistication. Dual-zone climate control and heated seats allow both the driver and passengers to enjoy separate temperature levels, ensuring everyone is comfortable. The subcompact SUV has a rear hatch that opens to reveal a spacious cargo area. If that’s not enough, the 60/40 split rear seats allow you to transport even more. Drivers can rest assured knowing the C-HR will transport their favorite belongings in style.Reliable and Affordable Toyotas in Seattle
