Save Gas in One of These 3 Toyota Hybrids
December 14 2017 - doadmin
gasIf you're considering a hybrid, there's no better time to take the plunge. Toyota offers many of its most popular vehicles in hybrid versions, which are designed to provide optimal fuel economy without sacrificing power. Here are our three favorite Toyota hybrids to add to your test drive list.
  1. Toyota Avalon Hybrid

The 2018 Avalon is ranked as 2 out of 11 large cars on the market by U.S. News and World Report, and it's been offered in a hybrid variant since 2013. This comfortable, spacious sedan gets high marks for its top-quality interior, smooth ride, and generous standard tech and safety features including driver assistance tech on every trim. The Avalon Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and a continuously variable automatic transmission, a combination that provides a healthy 200 horsepower. The package is rounded out with class-leading fuel economy for a large sedan, boasting an EPA-estimated 40 city/39 highway miles per gallon.
  1. Toyota Camry Hybrid

Another best-seller from Toyota, the Camry is a midsize sedan with plenty of features to satisfy even the most discerning driver. The Hybrid version of the Camry has been completely redesigned for 2018. In addition to a bolder, more aggressive appearance, the Camry Hybrid now sports an all-new powertrain that pushes the envelope in both fuel economy and performance. If you choose the LE model, you'll enjoy class-leading fuel economy of an incredible 51 city/53 highway miles per gallon. The SE and XLE trims are equipped with a different battery pack that provides 49 city/47 highway mpg. The 2018 Camry Hybrid puts out 208 horsepower, and it now comes with a Sport mode that allows you to access even more power at the push of a button. As with other Toyota vehicles, this is one of the few cars in its class to come standard with active driver assistance technology.
  1. Toyota Highlander Hybrid

If you want the space and utility of a midsize SUV but aren't relishing the added fuel costs, the 2018 Highlander Hybrid has your name on it. In fact, it's currently the only hybrid vehicle available in this class. Drivers love this crossover's upscale interior, generous power, and outstanding fuel economy. The available third row allows you fit up to eight passengers, and it includes four full LATCH systems for child safety seats. Both rows fold flat for access to 83.7 cubic feet of cargo space. A 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and five USB ports is standard on all trims. You'll get 231 horsepower from the 3.5-liter direct-injected V6 engine paired with three electric motors, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive. You'll enjoy an EPA-estimated 29 city/27 highway miles per gallon. In addition to these three picks, you can also check out the RAV4 Hybrid (a small crossover) and several all-electric versions of the Toyota Prius.
